Google Classroom:

If you are signed in on your school Chromebook, click on the Chrome browser, and in the search bar, begin typing Google Classroom.  The website should pop up for you, but if you aren’t sure, here is the exact web address: https://classroom.google.com/ .  If you have a smartphone (iPhone or Android), you can also download the free Google Classroom App to use (make sure you are logged in with your school account).  Once you are in, you will need to click on the “+” sign in the upper right corner, and “join the class.”  BE CAREFUL… Each of my classes has a DIFFERENT JOIN CODE, so make sure you are looking at the right period.

• Period 1 JOIN CODE  mwsgl6d  (that 5^th letter is a lowercase L)
• Period 2 JOIN CODE  lhnc232   (the 1^st letter is a lowercase L)
• Period 3 JOIN CODE  fqi0vi   (the 2^nd letter is a Q; the 4^th is the number ZERO)
• Period 4 JOIN CODE  jaoasa  (there are no numbers; these are all lowercase letters)

I use the Remind App as well to remind about homework, projects, cool events, or upcoming tests.  I urge everyone (students & parents) to join.  Like google classroom, there are different join messages for different classes so watch carefully that you are joining the right class.  Don’t worry; I cannot see anyone’s cellphone number through this app.  If you have a Smartphone, you can download the free Remind App, follow the steps to set up your account, and add the appropriate JOIN Code below.  If you choose this method, I would encourage you to allow push notifications; otherwise, get in the habit of checking this app daily.  If you prefer just to get the messages by TEXT only, you will text the below JOIN code to this phone number (724) 390-4312.

You can create a free account, but you don’t have to.  To simply use games here, go to the Search Bar (top left of the page) and type in “CASD Michaels Science 8”.  You should see three tabs.  The center tab says “Classes.”  If you click on it, my class should jump to the top of the list.  Click on our class, and choose the study set we are currently working on.  There are flash cards, practice tests, and fun games to play to help you review.  If you use this resource, my tests will seem very easy.  This is the direct link to take you straight to the class page:  https://quizlet.com/class/1306184
